25th session and we are still counting…!!

Our idea was to emphasis on #drawing foundation in a generation where digital art media is booming…and an honest desire to provide a common platform for learning #Pencilart

As the month October of 2013 comes to a close we reflect not only on the past 8 months, but the past 25 sessions we have given it to the art aspirants…

When a group of young enthusiastic art admirers started Pencil and Chai in Cubbon Park-Bangalore in 03rd March 2013 our idea was to emphasis on drawing foundation in a generation where digital art media is booming…and an honest desire to provide a common platform for learning Pencil art.

We hardly could have imagined that a regular discussion on drawings which wherein ideas were exchanged and practice began will turn into a well framed art school in future…

On our 7th session that was on June 9th fortunately it happened to meet 2 talented artists over there. The dedication which they had towards Art was truly inspiring. We ended up that session promising to come up with greater plans by next week..!

So with that inspiration we changed the Fun atmosphere to a school format where the practices got a serious touch with detailed study of drawings…

Our unique Gurukul system where we draw and paint in the middle of nature helps to create art with an open and refreshing mind for every one of all age groups. And the weekly inspirations for drawing/sketching and the assignments which keeps us active in the hustle and bustle days – the way they give personal attention towards each student is really worth appreciating-

So far our journey has been encouraging and at the same time exciting with new learning experiences on each session. Yet we have much to achieve and are waiting to spread our interest of art… We also take classes for the school children where they can learn with their own interest…

We are creating a crowd learning platform & spreading it day by day…
